BEAR is proud to be working with Australian modern conservation movement WildArk to help protect and conserve the wonders of the natural world andthe wildlife that inhabits them. WildArk’s mission is to secure parts of identified green belts around the world, to protect the rich biodiversity of these areas for future generations
Pridelands is the first conservancy secured by WildArk, located in the Limpopo Province of South Africa, opening onto Greater Kruger National Park
and adding an additional 4500 acres of land to conservation. The Tuke Rainforest Conservancy is WildArk’s second biodiversity project in the
rainforests of the Nakanai Mountains on the island of New Britain, Papua New Guinea. WildArk is working with the Baia Sportfishing Lodge to protect the Tuke community from illegal logging and palm oil plantations that threaten not only their livelihood, but the rich biodiversity of the forests in which they have lived and preserved for thousands of years.
BEAR is also proud to be working with The Great Barrier Reef Foundation, the lead charity dedicated to protecting the Great Barrier Reef through funding solutions grounded in science, technology, engineering and on-ground action to ensure their long-term conservation. The Foundation is a catalyst for solving the most complex and challenging problems facing Australia’s great natural wonder and coral reefs globally. Their projects range from saving endangered green turtles and restoring damaged reef ecosystems,to revealing coral DNA breakthroughs and using frontier technologies to create robotic reef ‘rangers’ and powerful,reef-scale monitoring and forecasting systems to help reef managers.
The Great Barrier Reef Foundation exists to ensure a Great Barrier Reef for future generations.
