With Emily L’Ami, founder of Bodha Modern Wellness

Emily L’Ami did not wait to be offered her dream job, she created it. The New Zealand native moved to Los Angeles, California in 2014 where she found the creative grounding for modern wellness brand, Bodha – the expression of her lifelong study and fascination with the therapeutic power of ritual and scent. Emily’s creations combine ingredient integrity with considered design; Bodha’s Ritual Incense Holder, crafted from pure brass by a 100-year old Japanese foundry is a favourite in our home. To celebrate the launch of Objects we caught up with Emily to talk about her rituals for living, and the blessing of starting anew.

With TEZZA

Sometimes in life, you come across a person that you feel such a deep connection with, even though you were born 8,454 miles apart. Tessa Barton is one of those people. It’s fitting timing, since we first met the creative and entrepreneur with her husband, Cole Herrmann, soaking up the sun in the desert at Coachella last year. Her innate warmth, humility and positive energy shines through, and you can’t help but feel relaxed around her. Raised in the mountains of Salt Lake City, Utah, the photographer, musician, artist and best- selling author now calls New York City home – when she’s not exploring the world in wonderful #tezzaapp technicolor. A true creative in every sense, Tessa joined us in Rajasthan, India for Leaders of Style III to celebrate our second birthday, where we had the opportunity to hear her thoughts on authenticity, her creative process, and her beauty and wellness rituals.

Leaders Of Style III
Rajasthan, India

To celebrate our second birthday, we traveled from our hometown of Byron Bay, Australia to Rajasthan, India with an intimate group of thought leaders from around the world – all intelligent, independent, forward thinking Leaders of Style. We spoke together under the stars about the future of sustainability, creativity, business, and our greatest luxury: our health. We experienced wildlife in their natural habitat, the beauty of mother nature, and the conservation work of the community firsthand, to help protect and restore Ranthambore National Park for future generations. We valued being present, laughter, our diverse cultures and enjoyed each unforgettable moment together, as close friends.

We connected with her incredible warmth, intelligence and free spirit in Rajasthan, India for Leaders of Style III, and took the opportunity to learn more about her island upbringing and what it means to be a true original.
