If something is on your fashion wish list, it’s most likely because of Lisa Aiken. The Retail Fashion Director of luxury fashion house Net-A-Porter is one of the key alchemists behind the portfolio of established and emerging designer brands that continue to set Net-A-Porter apart. Her personal Instagram account gives her followers a rare insight into each Fashion Week around the world and her innate sense of style speaks to the key pieces we will all be searching for next season. BEAR caught up with Lisa to discuss the importance of sustainability in the fashion industry, what labels are on her radar for the upcoming season and her soon to launch ‘passion project’ that is said to be filled with game changes.

How do you take your coffee?
I actually don’t drink coffee. I only drink English Breakfast Tea and I take that with milk and sugar.

What is your morning health and beauty routine?
I like to run or do a short sharp cardio session 5 times per week, as it really sets me up for the day. In terms of my beauty routine, I do wash my hair daily which isn’t good for it but living in the city, feels like an essential. I have really been working on my skincare routine recently, and have settled on Dr Sebagh Foaming Cleanser, Biologique Recherche P50 1970 Toner and Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum.

What are your travel essentials?
Caudalie Beauty Elixer, Living Proof dry shampoo, ATM jersey basics and multiple magazines. And at least 2 litres of water.

What pieces are you looking forward to wearing this summer?
I am loving the return of white denim, my favorites being the Goldsign Low Slung style.An amazing Nanushka denim dress. And I will be living in St Agni woven slippers.

What emerging international brands should we have on our radar?
This season I particularly love the collections from Jacquemus, Rejina Pyo, Hunting Season and Neous. My favourite new brand is Rokh and his deconstructed tailoring.

There’s a growing movement towards sustainability in fashion, what brands are leaders in this space?
I am so thrilled that the industry as a whole is starting to understand the importance of this issue. It’s undeniable that the Reformation and Stella McCartney are leading the way here, and we are taking on several new brands next season.

What is next for e-commerce and NET-A-PORTER?
Over the next months, we are launching a series of exclusives called ‘The Contemporary Collective’, which has been a bit of a passion project for me. There is a whole new wave of brands in this area that put unique design at the forefront and just happen to be at an amazing price. The likes of Rixo, Staud, Ganni and Rejina Pyo are really changing the game. We are also continuing to establish Net-a-Porter as a destination to discover new brands, and have almost 80 collections launching in Fall Winter 2018.
